How much is needed for the sections on regional and bilateral in the bid form?
The Bilateral Fund and the Regional Civil Society Initiatives Fund are key components of the programme, to be further developed by the selected Fund Operator. At the bid phase, we expect bidders to provide general ideas and demonstrate a clear understanding of the purpose and potential of these components.
For the regional aspect, bidders should outline their preliminary thoughts on how they plan to collaborate with other Fund Operators in different countries to develop and implement initiatives that promote regional exchange, networking, and mutual learning. The regional component of the programme will be further refined and developed by the selected Fund Operator in coordination with the FMO and the other Fund Operators.
For the bilateral aspect, bidders should show an understanding of how to foster collaboration between entities in the Beneficiary State and those in the Donor States. This will include working closely with the Donor Contact Point to identify opportunities for bilateral cooperation, such as partnerships, capacity-building activities, and knowledge sharing. The specifics of these initiatives will be further developed in partnership with the FMO and the Donor Contact Point during the programme’s implementation.
We are looking for evidence in the bid that the bidder grasps the strategic importance of these two components and has the capacity to develop them further in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
