Activities in Ukraine

Is it possible to run activities in Ukraine?

While there are in principle no limitations to the geographic location of project activities, all activities need to contribute to the agreed outputs, outcomes and objective of the programme [in the Beneficiary State], as well as the overall objective of the Grants, i.e. to reduce social and economic inequalities [in the Beneficiary State and the EEA] and strengthen bilateral relations [between the beneficiary and donor states].

It has not been decided whether the EEA Civil Society Fund can support projects that contribute to results in Ukraine, thus outside the Beneficiary State, or that are implemented in Ukraine, with or without desired results in the Beneficiary State. Please indicate nonetheless in the bid whether you propose such activities and how they are relevant and justified.

Please note that without regard to the above, entities from non-EEA States neighbouring a Beneficiary State are eligible as project partners to projects in that Beneficiary State. This means that Ukrainian entities could be eligible as project partners in the EEA Civil Society Fund programmes in Poland, Hungary, Slovakia and Romania.
