What are the requirements for open calls for small grants, can they have a shorter period for example than open calls for regular grants?
According to Article 7.5.8 of the Programme Implementation Agreement (the PIA), calls for proposals for small projects can follow a simplified procedure. This procedure needs to comply with the general principles described in Article 7.3, and will also be detailed in an annex to the PIA, subject to agreement between the FMO and the selected Fund Operator. Shorter deadlines are an example of simplifications that may be foreseen in such cases. Please also refer to Chapter 12 of the Fund Operator Manual for more details on selection procedures.
