What is the role of the national government in the selection of the Fund Operator and management of the programme? How does the EEA Civil Society Fund engage with the other programmes of the EEA and Norway Grants?
The government has no role in the selection of the Fund Operator. According to PIA 10.7.4, the National Focal Point shall be invited to participate in the review meetings as observers. The FMO may, in exceptional cases, waive the requirement to invite the National Focal Point to the review meetings.
While there is no formal relationship of the EEA Civil Society Fund with other programmes and Programme Operators, the Fund Operator will be encouraged to follow information on other programmes and seek synergies where possible.
